Role Summary
We're looking for a bold, strategic, and execution-focused CEO/COO to lead the business operations, growth, and patient experience transformation of Aman Family Clinics.
As CEO/COO, you'll be the operational and business leader of the clinic, working closely with our Chief Medical Director (CMD) who leads clinical strategy and medical governance. You'll own the business engine: operations, finance, technology, patient experience, team management, and growth strategy.
You'll build efficient systems, scale services, integrate smart technology, and ensure every patient interaction reflects our commitment to accessible, ethical, high-quality care—all while delivering strong financial performance and positioning the clinic for nationwide expansion.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of healthcare delivery, business operations, and technology. You'll be building the operational backbone of a clinic network designed to scale across Nigeria, starting with our flagship Abuja location.
If you're energized by the idea of making healthcare work better—smoother operations, happier patients, sustainable growth, and technology that actually helps—this is your opportunity to build something exceptional from the ground up.
What You'll Own
1. Executive Leadership & Strategic Direction
Serve as the senior executive responsible for overall business performance, operational excellence, and organizational growth
Set and execute the clinic's strategic plan in alignment with Aman Health's broader vision
Lead senior management team and drive cross-functional collaboration
Partner closely with the Chief Medical Director to ensure clinical excellence and operational efficiency work hand-in-hand
Represent the clinic to stakeholders, partners, investors, and the community
2. Operational Excellence & Efficiency
Design, implement, and continuously improve clinical and administrative workflows to reduce wait times, eliminate friction, and maximize productivity
Monitor and act on operational KPIs: patient throughput, appointment adherence, no-show rates, provider utilization, inventory turnover
Build systems that scale: patient scheduling, pharmacy operations, diagnostics coordination, supply chain, facility management
Ensure the clinic runs like clockwork—predictable, efficient, patient-centered
3. Financial Performance & Growth
Own the clinic's P&L: revenue optimization, cost control, margin management, and cash flow
Drive profitable growth through service expansion, strategic partnerships, walk-in volume optimization, and ancillary revenue (pharmacy, imaging, lab services)
Identify new revenue opportunities and business model innovations
Work closely with Aman HMO to maximize internal patient redirection and care integration
Deliver on financial targets and ensure long-term sustainability
4. Patient Experience – "The Aman Experience"
Design and oversee a seamless patient journey from first contact (online/phone booking) through consultation, diagnostics, pharmacy, and post-visit follow-up
Ensure every touchpoint reflects our values: accessible, transparent, respectful, efficient
Track and improve Patient Satisfaction Scores (NPS) and translate feedback into operational improvements
Build a reputation for care that feels different—not just clinically sound, but genuinely patient-centered
5. Technology & Digital Integration
Lead the adoption and optimization of digital tools: EMR/EHR systems, patient scheduling platforms, inventory management, telehealth capabilities
Champion technology that reduces administrative burden for staff and improves convenience for patients
Work with external vendors and internal teams to ensure systems are implemented well and actually used
Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and operational improvements
6. Team Leadership & Culture
Build and lead a high-performing, patient-centered team across all functions
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Support clinical staff (managed by CMD) with the operational infrastructure they need to focus on patient care
Lead non-clinical teams: operations, pharmacy, lab, imaging, admin, support staff
Recruit, develop, and retain top talent across the organization
7. Strategic Expansion & Scalability
Translate strategic vision into executable operational plans
Use market insights and performance data to guide decisions and adapt quickly
Prepare the clinic model for replication: standardize processes, document systems, build operational playbooks
Lead planning and execution of future clinic locations as the network expands across Nigeria
Who You Are
You bring:
Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field
MBA, MHA, MPH, or equivalent is strongly preferred
5–7+ years of senior leadership experience in outpatient care, ambulatory clinics, multi-site healthcare operations, or healthcare business management
Proven track record of executive-level responsibility: P&L ownership, operational transformation, and business growth
Demonstrated success improving operational efficiency, patient satisfaction (NPS), and financial performance
Experience managing digital transformation or significant technology implementations in a healthcare setting
Deep understanding of healthcare economics, managed care relationships, and lean operations
Familiarity with HMO provider networks, claims processes, and healthcare reimbursement models is a strong advantage
You are:
A strategic leader – You think big picture while staying deeply involved in execution
Operationally excellent – You see inefficiencies others miss and you fix them systematically
Financially disciplined – You manage budgets tightly and find ways to grow revenue without compromising care quality
Tech-forward – You believe technology should make healthcare better, and you know how to implement it effectively
Patient-obsessed – You think about the patient experience in every decision
A builder and a scaler – You're energized by creating systems, processes, and teams that can grow from one clinic to many
Collaborative – You'll work closely with the Chief Medical Director, clinical teams, and Aman Health leadership
Mission-aligned – You care about building something ethical, accessible, and impactful
Why This Role Matters
Aman Family Clinics is the first step toward a nationwide network of ethical, high-quality outpatient care. The systems, workflows, technology stack, operational culture, and business model you build here will become the template for clinics across Nigeria.

Compensation & Benefits

Performance-Based Bonuses: Tied to clinic financial performance, patient satisfaction, and operational KPIs
