Who We Are
Aman Health is building Nigeria's first fully integrated, ethics-first healthcare ecosystem. We're reimagining how millions of Nigerians access quality, transparent, and affordable healthcare. From ethical health insurance (Takaful model) to our own network of family clinics and health-tech infrastructure, we're creating a new model that puts values, transparency, and patient experience first.
This is an early-stage growth company expanding from Abuja into Lagos and beyond. You'll be joining at a pivotal moment—when systems are being built, technology is being deployed, culture is being defined, and every decision shapes what comes next.
The Role
We're looking for an intellectually curious, naturally organized, and unusually proactive professional to serve as Company Secretary and strategic governance partner to our Board and Executive team.
This isn't a traditional compliance-only role. You'll be at the intersection of law, healthcare regulation, finance, and technology—helping us build governance infrastructure that supports rapid growth while staying true to our ethical foundation.
You'll report directly to the Executive Director of Aman Health and work closely with founders and board members, coordinate across three operating subsidiaries (Aman HMO, Aman Family Clinics, and MedPay), and play a key role in ensuring we're operationally excellent as we scale.
What You'll Do
Governance & Board Support
Serve as Secretary to the Board and Board Committees—setting agendas, coordinating meetings, preparing materials, and ensuring smooth decision-making
Prepare accurate minutes, resolutions, and action trackers; follow up relentlessly to ensure execution
Act as the Board's institutional memory and governance conscience
Regulatory Compliance & Corporate Administration
Ensure full compliance with CAMA, NHIA regulations, CBN requirements, and healthcare-specific laws
Maintain statutory registers, corporate records, licenses, annual returns, and regulatory filings across the group
Coordinate audits, regulatory inspections, and external advisory relationships
Keep us ahead of regulatory changes in health insurance, health-tech, and corporate law
Strategic Coordination & Technology Integration
Act as liaison between the Board, Executive Management, shareholders, regulators, and external partners
Support the implementation of digital governance tools and systems across the organization
Help build and maintain technology-enabled compliance and documentation systems
Safeguard corporate documents, policies, and institutional knowledge using modern digital infrastructure
Support capital deployment decisions, subsidiary governance, and investor relations as needed
Translate complex regulatory and legal requirements into clear, actionable guidance
Culture & Systems Builder
Help shape how we operate: clear documentation, disciplined execution, ethical decision-making, technology-first workflows
Support the operationalization of Aman Health (parent company) as we transition from startup to scaled enterprise
Champion the use of technology to improve governance efficiency and transparency
Who You Are
You're naturally curious about:
How healthcare systems work (or don't work) in Nigeria
The intersection of regulation, technology, and ethical business practices
How technology can transform governance, compliance, and operations
How companies are built from the inside—governance, operations, culture, systems
You bring:
LLB (required); LLM or related postgraduate degree (preferred)
2–4 years of experience in corporate secretarial, legal, or governance roles—ideally in fast-growing companies, regulated industries, or professional services
Deep familiarity with CAMA, corporate governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance
Experience supporting C-level executives or Boards in a high-accountability environment
Genuine interest in health-tech, digital transformation, or mission-driven ventures
Strong digital proficiency and enthusiasm for leveraging technology in governance and operations
You are:
Exceptionally organized — You don't drop balls. You build systems so others don't either.
Proactive and anticipatory — You see what's coming and prepare before being asked.
Clear and precise — Your emails, minutes, and documentation are models of clarity.
Discreet and trusted — You handle sensitive information with maturity and judgment.
Tech-savvy and forward-thinking — Comfortable with modern tools, cloud-based workflows, automation, and learning new systems quickly. You see technology as an enabler, not an obstacle.
Mission-aligned — You care about building something ethical, transparent, and impactful.
Why This Role Matters
You're not just keeping records—you're helping build the institutional backbone of a healthcare company that could reshape how millions of Nigerians experience care. The governance structures, compliance systems, digital workflows, and decision-making rhythms you help establish now will scale with us for years to come.
You'll have direct access to the Executive Director and Board, giving you visibility into strategy, capital deployment, technology decisions, and expansion planning across healthcare delivery and health-tech.
Compensation & Benefits
Monthly Salary: ₦600,000
Health Insurance: Full coverage through Aman HMO
Paid Annual Leave
Hybrid Work: Flexible arrangement with in-office collaboration as needed
Growth Opportunity: Direct exposure to Board-level strategy, multi-subsidiary operations, health-tech innovation, and a rapidly scaling business
